Implementing harmonised SWIM

2017_066_AF5

The project will implement features to the COOPANS system to ensure a more safe and efficient cross border Free Route Airspace (FRA), and prepare for Time Based separation on final Approach which will facilitate a higher runway throughput.

Furthermore, the project will implement a common COOPANS baseline infrastructure for SWIM (System Wide Information Manangement) (yellow profile) to enable us to handle the future data distribution requirements to facilitate new functionalities to improve the performance of the COOPANS system, by e.g. better MET (Aviation meteorology) presentations and traffic situation predictions. Finally, the project will enable COOPANS members to implement Extended Arrival Management up to 200 miles from the airport.

The project is expected to be completed end of July 2023.
